I just won Alex an entry into the Nike Women's Marathon. He will now be an official participant, and, as it's a women's marathon, he'll also be one of the few men in the race.
The Nike Women's Marathon will be Alex's first marathon, but don't expect him to race. He'll be running step for step with me in honor of the race being a women's marathon. (Plus, according to this article sent to me by my barefoot-running neighbor, he'd likely be booed for running without me!)
Instead, Alex is going to test his athleticism in the San Jose Half next weekend. Wish him luck!
I think toxoplasma has burrowed through your neighbor's feet into his brain. (Are there any cats in your neighborhood?) No one would ever boo Alex!
