Before departing to Hawaii, our dear friends left their wise cactus with us for safe keeping. In response to spring rains, and the regular flooding I obstinately give our garden, the cactus has bloomed! Our own little piece of Hawaii is growing too, but ever so slowly.
We have had better luck with a California classic (that smells even stronger than on the Disney ride).
Wonderful! That cactus was T's grandfather's -- he'd be most pleased.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ryan! That cactus is quite a sight. I think it longs to be planted in the ground. If you guys eventually settle into a house close enough to deliver this cactus, we'll have to have a cactus planting party.
