In Bloom

The tulip (saucer?) magnolia in front of the Bloemendaal House is in full bloom according to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden's recent Facebook post. Since Alex and I saw the Bloemendaal House when it was covered in snow, I missed the fact that there was a magnolia tree there. Magnolia trees, both this pink kind and the evergreen kind with the giant white flowers, have been a part of Alex's and my relationship from early on. From silly games like counting magnolia trees on runs, to enjoying the giant magnolia tree in the front yard of my Menlo Park apartment, to searching Palo Alto for the grandest tulip magnolia tree, we always find ways to enjoy these magnificent trees. How wonderful that the one above is part of our ceremony location!
