Spring doesn't technically start until this Saturday, but we had a sneak preview this past weekend here in Menlo Park. It was gorgeous. My brother, Barrett, and his wife, Amy, were in town, and we took full advantage of the beautiful sunny day on Saturday. We started with a long run (12 miles for Alex and Barrett, and 6 miles for the two Amys!), then we played bocce ball in the park until more friends showed up. Once we were a group of seven, we began a high intensity game of croquet. As our group grew to ten people, we ventured into a bit of soccer and basketball. The day started to get chilly as the sun was setting, so the whole group headed over to Applewood Pizza for dinner. We finished the evening off with a movie.
The rest of the weekend and Barrett and Amy's trip were just as wonderful: we ran the Dish, toured Stanford, had a bunch of nice meals, and went into the city.
