Where have all the rooms gone?!

My parents have been on the ball with all things wedding since Alex and I got engaged. Their most recent mission has been to reserve a block of rooms for our out of town guests during the wedding weekend. We wanted our guests to stay in downtown Richmond so that they could walk through all of its history during the day and walk to fun bars and restaurants at night. We narrowed it down to a few hotels and started making calls. No double rooms could be found!

Really.

It slowly became clear that there was a Jehovah Witness conference the very same weekend, and they had already blocked all of the rooms in downtown Richmond.

Thankfully, my parents are persistent, and we now have some rooms blocked around the downtown area. Most have a single bed, but they did find some doubles. More information to come...
