Easter in Seattle

Together for Easter.

This past weekend Alex and I flew up to Seattle to visit my brother and his wife for Easter.  My parents were also in town, so it was quite a family affair.

The big outing for the weekend was a trip to see the tulips at Roozengaarde.

Rows of tulips as far as the eye could see.

We explored fields of red, yellow, pink, purple, and more.  Rows and rows of brightly colored bulbs painted the ground.  We had fun finding the odd flower out.

Why, hello there Mrs. White.  Fancy finding you among the scarlet.

A touch of yellow in a sea of red.

Another example of a misplaced tulip:

Who would think they'd ever see
a tulip high up in a tree.

My favorites included...

...the black Queen of the Night...

...and the groupings of multicolored tulips.

This weekend wasn't all about flowers.  It was also filled with cats:

Brilla.

And, most importantly, Easter.  Easter eggs, Easter breakfast, and Easter service.

The beautiful meal prepared by my very pregnant sister-in-law.
(I hope to return the courtesy when she and my brother need a hand after my niece/nephew is born.)

It was a wonderful weekend, and I'm looking forward to the next time we can all be together.  Thank you all for a great Easter!
